The material is made from crushed dried leafless branch and heather.

Heather can be used as filler biofilter single product or can be mixed with others such as peat. Heath as an individual product is used to filter sweet smells at a slow rate. For an intense filtration should mix with other soft products such as peat or coconut, increasing the residence time of the air.
These systems are widely used in the Nordic countries.

Heather filtration can be applied in open or closed biofilters, and in single or multi-layer processes.
Heath duration as monofiltrante product is over 3 years.
